Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC AIRMAR B60 0 DEG through-hull transducer is a 600 W dual-frequency sensor designed to provide accurate depth and water temperature readings. Made of bronze, it is suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls. This model features Airmar’s Tilted Element™ technology, enabling flush-mount installation that compensates for the boat’s keel angle.
Technical Performance and Features
The XSONIC AIRMAR B60 0 DEG operates on two distinct frequencies: 50 kHz and 200 kHz. The 50 kHz frequency offers a 45° beam width and a depth range up to 366 m (1,200'). The 200 kHz frequency, with a 12° beam, provides detection up to 213 m (700') with higher target resolution. This transducer measures depth and water temperature with rapid response.
Design and Installation
With its bronze housing, the B60 0 DEG is recommended for fiberglass or wooden hulls. The 0° version is specifically designed for keel angles between 0° and 7°. Its low profile, protruding only 5 mm (3/16") from the hull, reduces drag. Installation requires a 60 mm (2-3/8") diameter hole. The transducer weighs 1.4 kg (3 lb) and is compatible with vessels up to 8 m (25' or 26') in overall length. It comes with a black 9-pin connector and a 10 m (33 ft) cable.
