Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar R509LH-W through-hull transducer is designed to provide superior target detection and detail separation, targeting professional anglers and commercial applications. It integrates CHIRP wide-beam technology for increased coverage under the hull and sharper sonar images.
Advanced Sonar Performance
This transducer operates on two distinct frequency bands: low frequency between 28 kHz and 60 kHz, and high frequency between 150 kHz and 250 kHz. The low-frequency band delivers 3 kW of power and detection capability up to 3,048 meters (10,000 feet), with beam widths ranging from 23° to 9° (port-starboard) and 11° to 5° (bow-stern). The high-frequency band, with 1 kW of power, reaches a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet) and maintains a constant beam width of 25°. The R509LH-W features 25 internal wideband ceramic assemblies, ensuring precise resolution and target detection, even for fish lying on the seabed.
Design and Compatibility
The XSONIC Airmar R509LH-W is a through-hull transducer with a fairing block, compatible with fiberglass, wood, and metal hulls. It accommodates keel angles from 0° to 25°, with a recommendation up to 22° for optimal performance. Its urethane housing ensures marine durability. This transducer also includes a fast-response water temperature sensing function. It comes with a 10-meter (33-foot) cable and a dual 9-pin connector, requiring a sonar module such as the Simrad S5100 or an NSSevo3S display to operate. Airmar’s patented Xducer ID® technology facilitates identification by compatible systems.
