Detailed description
Detailed description
The Yamaha Navico Engine Interface (part number 000-0120-37) is a critical component for integrating Yamaha outboard engine data into an NMEA 2000 network. This cable enables detailed engine information to be displayed on compatible multifunction displays, improving propulsion monitoring and management. It is compatible with Yamaha 4-stroke engines from 50 to 250 horsepower and 2-stroke HDPI engines from 150 to 350 horsepower, specifically models manufactured from 2006 and not equipped with the Yamaha Command Link Plus system.
Network integration and compatibility
Designed to connect and operate within an existing NMEA 2000 network, this interface requires a 10–17V DC power supply provided by the network. The interface cable is typically supplied with a length of 4.5 meters (15 feet) and includes an NMEA 2000 T-connector, facilitating its insertion into the network backbone. For Yamaha engines already equipped with a Command Link system, a specific Yamaha Engine Gateway cable (MAR-GTWAY-ML-09) is required to adapt the connection to a standard NMEA 2000 network.
Detailed engine data
The interface transmits a wide range of critical engine parameters to the NMEA 2000 network. These include engine RPM, alternator voltage, engine hours, engine temperature, fuel pressure, fuel flow (consumption), oil pressure, and trim position. It also provides data on water pressure and various warning indicators such as oil pressure, overheating, engine control, and load control. Neutral gear position can also be displayed. This information is accessible on compatible NMEA 2000 multifunction displays (MFD) from brands such as Lowrance (HDS, LMF-200/400 gauges), Simrad (NSS/NSE/NSO), B&G (Zeus), as well as other NMEA 2000 displays from manufacturers like Raymarine, Garmin, and Furuno.
