Detailed description
Detailed description
The NKE PF000121 Gyropilot transmitter allows you to control an NKE autopilot without staying at the helm. This sheet corresponds to the blue transmitter only: the universal NKE radio receiver, essential for operation, is not included.
Controlling the autopilot from the deck
Dedicated buttons provide access to the autopilot’s essential commands: heading correction of ±1° or ±10°, switching to Auto mode, stopping the autopilot, tacking, and jibing. The transmitter thus allows you to intervene from the helm, mast foot, or bow, within the radio range of the installation.
Automatic man-overboard detection
The transmitter continuously sends its identifier to the receiver. When the signal is lost, the NKE system triggers the MOB alarm and records the position of the fall. The autopilot’s response depends on the selected configuration: in crew mode, the alarm is triggered without automatic action on the autopilot; in single-handed mode, the autopilot can turn the boat into the wind if wind data is available, or control the rudder according to NKE’s procedure without a wind sensor.
Designed for marine use
The transmitter housing is rated IP68 and weighs 65 g. It operates on a 3.6 V lithium battery. NKE indicates an operating range from -10 °C to +50 °C, with a storage range from -20 °C to +60 °C.
Compatibility and reference selection
The PF000121 communicates with the NKE Topline network via the universal radio receiver. Choose this transmitter alone to replace or add a control on an installation already equipped with the compatible receiver. For a first installation, opt for the NKE kit including both the transmitter and the receiver. The receiver can manage up to eight associated radio transmitters.
