Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for precise monitoring of fuel consumption, the Raymarine FFM100-01 fuel flow meter is a two-channel solution that integrates with NMEA 2000-compatible navigation systems. This device allows tracking of fuel supply and return for a single engine, or the supply of two separate engines, providing detailed management of onboard energy efficiency.
NMEA 2000 integration and certification
The FFM100-01 flow meter, developed by Maretron and integrated into Raymarine’s offering, is NMEA 2000 certified. This certification ensures compliance with safety criteria, correct implementation of network management and messaging, as well as interoperability with other NMEA 2000-certified equipment. Rigorous testing, including priority messaging, automatic addressing, product information comprehension, EMI and noise immunity requirements, and electrical isolation, guarantees reliable and secure integration into the onboard network.
Robust design for marine environments
This flow meter is tested to IEC 60945 standards for marine navigation and radio communication equipment and systems. This compliance confirms its ability to operate in the demanding conditions of a marine environment, contributing to the reliability and durability of the vessel’s monitoring system. It aligns with a smart embedded systems approach, facilitating the integration of onboard instruments and systems via a common and simplified interface.
