Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to optimize radar performance on powerboats, the Raymarine PowerTower composite 150mm (PT2004) is a mounting solution specifically developed to elevate radomes. With a height of 150mm (6 inches), it ensures an unobstructed view of the horizon, essential for precise radar detection.
Design and Compatibility
Made of composite, this PowerTower features a "monocoque" structure that provides robustness and an aerodynamic finish. Its 30° rearward sloping profile is specifically adapted to the aesthetics of powerboats. It is compatible with Raymarine 2kW and 4kW radomes, as well as a wide range of 18"/24" scanner radomes. Compatibility extends to Garmin and Navico BR24 / 3G / 4G radomes, including Lowrance, Simrad, B&G (HALO20, HALO20+, HALO24), Humminbird (HB 2124 CHIRP), KVH (TracPhone V3-HTS, TracVision M2, M3, TV3, V3), and Sitex (RADARpc - 4D).
Installation and Features
Installation of the PowerTower is simplified by pre-drilled mounting holes, allowing direct antenna attachment. A watertight installation is ensured by a pre-installed IP65 cable entry gland and a watertight base seal, eliminating the need for marine sealant. Cable management is integrated via an internal Scanstrut DS30 cable gland and provided inserts, allowing accommodation of main radome cables without cutting radar connectors. The hollow shaft facilitates internal cable routing.
Durability and Accessories
The monocoque composite construction offers resistance to marine elements. The product comes with a 3-year warranty, subject to registration within 3 months of purchase. Optional accessories, such as a PowerTower wedge, can be added to adjust radar tilt. It is also compatible with accessory light bars that can be bolted to the rear for integration of additional navigation equipment.
