Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for navigation in North America, the Raymarine 60STV HD Gen2 satellite TV system provides high-definition signal reception. This second-generation model, which replaces the E93014-2, automatically identifies, acquires, and tracks compatible DVB signals, providing access to hundreds of TV channels at sea or in harbor.
Satellite Reception Optimized for North America
The 60STV HD Gen2 system is specifically configured for regions using circular polarization, such as North America. For optimal performance, the antenna’s low-noise block (LNB) can be adjusted based on the operating area, and region information can be updated via the antenna control unit (ACU) or a PC graphical interface software. A subscription to the relevant satellite service providers is required for full channel access.
Installation and System Integration
Installation of the 60STV HD Gen2 system must comply with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) directives to prevent interference. Equipment and its Raymarine cables should be kept at least 1 meter away from radio equipment (2 meters for SSB radios) and more than 2 meters from a radar beam path. Power must come from a battery separate from the engine battery. Using specified Raymarine cables and installing the correct ferrite cores on Raymarine-specified cables, supplied by authorized Raymarine dealers, is essential for proper EMC performance. Systems can be configured for dual or quadruple RF STV reception, as well as multiswitch connections for 45STV and 60STV models.
Installation and Maintenance Precautions
Before any installation or operation, it is imperative to remove the foam packaging inserts from the base of the antenna unit. Painting or applying any other finish to the antenna unit is strictly discouraged, as it may degrade performance. When handling, the unit must always be lifted by its base plate, avoiding contact with the antenna housing or connectors located under the base to prevent damage.
