Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for offshore and harbor navigation, the Raymarine 45 STV Gen2 NZ satellite reception antenna provides continuous access to TV channels. This system automatically identifies, acquires, and maintains tracking of compatible DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) satellite signals, ensuring stable reception.
Technical and Regional Capabilities
The 45 STV Gen2 antenna is offered in different variants to match regional satellite signal specifications. The "NZ" model is configured for linear polarization reception, commonly used in regions such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China, and the Middle East. This setup ensures compatibility with the broadcast standards of these geographical areas.
System Installation and Maintenance
Installing the STV Gen2 system requires careful planning of cabling and connections, with options for dual or quadruple RF configurations and multiswitch connections. It is essential to remove the internal transport packaging before use and to lift the unit by its base to avoid damage. For optimal performance, power must be protected by an appropriate fuse or circuit breaker. Raymarine’s electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) guidelines recommend a minimum distance of 1 m from radio equipment (2 m for HF radios) and 2 m from radar beams. Ferrite suppressors should be used on cables.
Maintenance includes LNB adjustment and updating regional information via the ACU control unit or PC-based graphical interface software. Any servicing or component replacement must be performed by Raymarine-certified technicians. The product complies with EU Directive 2004/108/EC and carries the CE mark. Disposal must follow the WEEE Directive.
