Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine 60STV HD Gen 2 Australia satellite reception antenna (part number E70475) is a satellite TV system designed for receiving hundreds of TV channels at sea or in harbor. This system automatically identifies, acquires, and tracks compatible signals from DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) satellites. The STV Gen 2 models are available in variants adapted to different geographic regions. The E70475 model is configured for receiving linearly polarized signals, specifically for the Australia region.
Installation and compatibility
The STV Gen 2 system includes the 37STV, 45STV, and 60STV Gen 2 models. For optimal performance, installation must comply with the provided instructions, particularly regarding power supply protection via an appropriate fuse or circuit breaker. When handling, it is imperative to lift the unit by its base and avoid damaging the connectors under the base. It is also recommended not to paint the antenna unit, as this could degrade its performance.
Performance optimization
For optimal EMC performance, Raymarine equipment and cables must be installed at least 1 m away from any radio equipment or cable (2 m for HF radios and radar beams). Power must come from a battery separate from the engine battery. If changing geographic zones, it may be necessary to adjust the antenna’s LNB head and update the region information via the ACU control unit or a PC with the GUI software. The product complies with EMC Directive 2004/108/EC and is CE marked.
