Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for marine environments, the Raymarine 37 STV Gen2 Australia satellite reception antenna provides stable access to hundreds of TV channels at sea or in harbor. This satellite TV system automatically identifies, acquires, and tracks compatible signals transmitted by DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) satellites.
Design and Regional Specifications
The 37 STV Gen2 system is part of Raymarine’s second-generation models, which also include the 45 STV Gen2 and 60 STV Gen2 versions. Each STV unit is configured to receive either linear or circular polarization signals, depending on the geographical region. The Australia version of the 37 STV Gen2 antenna is specifically configured for linear polarization, suitable for regions such as Australia, New Zealand, China, and the Middle East. If the navigation area changes, updating the region information via the control unit (ACU) or a PC, along with adjusting the antenna’s LNB head, may be required. A subscription to the relevant satellite service providers is necessary for use.
Installation and Compliance
The product must be installed according to the provided instructions, ensuring the power supply is protected by a fuse or circuit breaker. It is essential to remove the foam transport blocks from the unit’s base before use and to avoid painting the antenna unit to prevent performance degradation. Raymarine’s electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) guidelines recommend keeping the equipment and its cables at least 1 meter away from any radio equipment (2 meters for SSB radios) and more than 2 meters from a radar beam path. The power supply must come from a battery separate from the engine’s battery. This product complies with EU Directive 2004/108/EC and bears the CE mark. Disposal must comply with the WEEE Directive.
