The Scanstrut DS-H6 horizontal cable gland is a professional-grade sealing solution designed for routing cables from 2 to 6 mm through a deck or bulkhead. Made of gray composite, this marine cable gland provides reliable protection against water ingress while maintaining a clean aesthetic. It is part of the Scanstrut cable gland range, which also includes models DS-H10 (for cables up to 10 mm), DS16, DS21A, DS21B, DS30, and DS40, each suited to specific cable diameters. The DS-H6 stands out for its compact size and ease of installation, ideal for antenna wiring, sensor cables, or small electrical harnesses.
Technical specifications and installation
The DS-H6 kit includes an upper shell, a base, a sealing gasket, a blank plug for custom drilling, six pre-drilled plugs for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 mm cables, as well as three self-tapping screws and one M4x12 bolt. Installation requires a 28.5 mm diameter hole in the support, followed by drilling three 2.5 mm guide holes for the mounting screws. The blank plug allows for custom drilling if needed. The design includes a 12 mm bend radius for a 6 mm cable, preserving cable integrity. The overall height is 46 mm. Compared to larger models like the DS-H10, the DS-H6 offers a more discreet solution for smaller diameters, while models DS16 and above are intended for thicker cables or multiple passes.
