The Simrad NSX 3015UW is a 15-inch ultrawide marine display designed to deliver a complete navigation experience. It combines the functions of two displays into a single unit, eliminating bezels and dead zones. This chartplotter and fishfinder comes with an Active Imaging™ 3-in-1 transducer.
Display and performance
Equipped with a 15-inch SolarMAX™ IPS HD touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 720 pixels, the NSX 3015UW delivers brightness exceeding 1000 nits and viewing angles of 85° in all directions. Its internal 10Hz GPS processor ensures precise positioning. Power input is 12 V DC (10-17 V DC) with a maximum consumption of 25 W (1811 mA at 13.8 V). The unit weighs 1.9 kg (1.2 lbs) and is rated IPx6 and IPx7 for marine environments.
Navigation and detection features
The Simrad NSX 3015UW integrates a fishfinder, GPS, and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n). The included Active Imaging™ 3-in-1 transducer provides high-resolution CHIRP mid/high, DownScan, and SideScan imagery up to 91 meters (300 feet) to the sides and beneath the vessel. The Simrad® operating system offers simplified menus, a customizable dashboard, and an intuitive activity bar. It supports 6000 waypoints, 500 routes (with a maximum of 100 points per route), and 50 tracks (with up to 12,000 track points).
C-MAP® cartography and system integration
Optimized for C-MAP® X-Gen charts, the NSX 3015UW delivers sharp resolution, detailed inland and coastal coverage, tide and current data, and harbor plans. It includes C-MAP® safety alerts and X-Chart Manager for update management. It supports 3G, 4G, and HALO® radars, seamless integration with NAC-1, NAC-2, NAC-3, and NAC-D autopilots, and compatibility with Mercury® (SmartCraft® Connect), Honda, and Suzuki engines. It is compatible with SiriusXM® Weather and Fish Mapping (after software update 1.9), CZone® digital switching, RGBW lighting, IP cameras, and other audio partners via its Ethernet (1), NMEA 2000 (1), USB (1), and Bluetooth 4.0 ports. Automatic routing is calculated in one-third the time compared to previous systems.
