The Simrad Pro SI80 signal interface module is a dedicated component for Simrad AP70 and AP80 autopilot systems. It ensures communication and power distribution within the vessel’s navigation network, enabling precise heading control.
Connectivity and Power Supply
This module features four NMEA 0183 (IEC 61162-1) input/output channels. It integrates a 12 V network power supply and CAN-bus, with its own power supply compliant with NMEA2000 specifications, operating on a 12/24 V DC range.
Integration and Performance
Designed for seamless integration with existing navigation equipment, the SI80 Signal Interface Module enables hands-free operation and stable course keeping. It supports safety features such as collision avoidance and alarm systems. The module can be part of an IMO-certified autopilot system when combined with other approved components. Its dimensions are 211 x 180 x 60 mm and it operates within a temperature range of -15°C to +55°C.
