Detailed description
The Standard Horizon RAM4 (SSM-70H) is a wired remote handset designed to extend the communication capabilities of GX series fixed VHF radios. This handset allows full control of radio functions from a secondary location on the boat.
Designed for the marine environment
The SSM-70H is specifically engineered for marine use. It ensures waterproof performance when its DATA connector is secured with the supplied rubber cap. It integrates with Standard Horizon fixed VHF systems, including the GX6000E, allowing up to 12 custom functions to be assigned to the RAM4 keys.
Integration and functions
This remote handset functions as a remote station, offering the ability to transmit and receive, change channels, and access various functions of the main VHF. It provides a convenient and secure way to maintain communication from multiple points on the vessel without needing to move to the main radio.
