Designed for demanding marine energy systems, the Victron Energy lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) 25.6V/300Ah NG Battery provides a 7680 Wh energy storage solution for 24 V installations. This next-generation battery integrates a shunt for precise data transmission (voltage, current, temperature) to the battery management system (BMS), ensuring real-time monitoring of charge state and specific alerts.
System integration and performance
The Victron Energy 25.6V/300Ah NG Battery is designed for seamless integration within the Victron ecosystem. It requires the use of a Lynx Smart NG BMS (500 A or 1000 A, sold separately), which automatically detects system voltage and the number of connected batteries. The BMS manages cell balancing and critical protections: pre-alarm at 3.0 V/cell, load disconnection at 2.8 V/cell, and charge cutoff at 3.6 V/cell or in case of abnormal temperature (outside +5 °C to +50 °C for charging, -20 °C to +50 °C for discharging).
Modularity and reliability
The Lithium NG range allows for modular battery banks, with the possibility of connecting up to 50 batteries in parallel for 24 V systems, offering a maximum energy capacity of 384 kWh per BMS. The 25.6V/300Ah NG Battery delivers a lifespan of 2500 cycles at 80 % depth of discharge (DoD) and up to 5000 cycles at 50 % DoD. It supports a maximum continuous discharge and charge current of 300 A (1C), with a maximum pulse discharge current of 600 A (2C) and charge current of 450 A (1.5C) for 10 seconds. Its internal resistance is 1 mΩ.
Robust design and simplified maintenance
With an IP65 protection rating, Lithium NG batteries are effectively protected against dust and low-pressure water jets, making them suitable for marine environments. The self-discharge rate is reduced to ≤ 2 % per month, contributing to longevity and reliability. Installation is simplified with included brackets, allowing secure mounting against sliding and tipping.
