Detailed description
Detailed description
The through-hull XSONIC Airmar B175H-W (12°) is a 1 kW CHIRP transducer designed for underwater detection, depth, and temperature measurement. This model features a bronze housing, suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls. Its 12° tilted element compensates for keel angles from 8° to 15°, ensuring the sonar beam is vertically oriented for maximum echo returns.
Performance and CHIRP wide-beam technology
The B175H-W (12°) operates on a high-band CHIRP frequency range of 150 kHz to 250 kHz, providing a total bandwidth of 100 kHz. Its constant 25° wide beam offers twice the underwater coverage compared to high-frequency narrow-beam transducers. This feature enhances fish arch detection and water column visibility, particularly useful for coastal and pelagic fishing.
Resolution and integration
With a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet), this transducer delivers superior resolution and detail for target identification and bottom structure. The integrated Xducer ID® technology enables automatic fishfinder configuration, ceramic temperature monitoring, and transducer profile information display on compatible sounders. Its low-profile through-hull installation, requiring a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) hole, is recommended for boats up to 11 meters (36 feet).
