Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar SS175H-W (20°) through-hull transducer is designed to optimize fish detection and seafloor detail. With 1 kW of power and high-frequency broadband CHIRP technology, it covers a range from 150 to 250 kHz, providing a constant beam width of 25°.
CHIRP High-Wide Beam Technology
The SS175H-W uses CHIRP High-Wide technology to deliver coverage under the boat twice as wide as traditional high-frequency narrow-beam transducers. This feature improves fish detection in the water column and produces clear fish arches. The high-frequency band (150–250 kHz) ensures superior resolution, precise seafloor detail, and excellent target separation, with a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet).
Tilted Element™ Stainless Steel Design
This through-hull transducer features a fixed 20° tilted ceramic element, compensating for keel angles from 16° to 24°. The "Tilted Element™" design ensures the sonar beam is directed straight down, maximizing echo returns without requiring a fairing block. The stainless steel housing is compatible with all hull types (fiberglass, wood, metal) and offers durability in marine environments. Its low profile under the hull reduces drag.
Integration and Features
The XSONIC Airmar SS175H-W (20°) transducer measures depth and water temperature with rapid response. It is equipped with a 9-pin XSONIC connector and a 10-meter (33-foot) cable, ensuring direct compatibility with Navico systems such as Lowrance HDS Carbon and Simrad NSS evo3 displays. The through-hull installation requires a 95 mm (3-3/4") hole for fiberglass or wood hulls, and 105 mm (4-1/8") for metal hulls.
