Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar SS175L (20°) is a 1 kW through-hull transducer designed for vessels up to 11 meters (36 feet). It integrates low-frequency CHIRP technology (40–60 kHz) for precise depth detection and rapid water temperature updates. Its 20° tilted element compensates for deadrise angle, ensuring a vertically oriented sonar beam.
CHIRP detection performance
With 1 kW power and a low-frequency CHIRP bandwidth of 40 to 60 kHz, this transducer delivers a beam width of 32° to 21°. It detects the bottom down to 762 meters (2,500 feet) with enhanced resolution. CHIRP technology improves target separation, distinguishing baitfish, game fish, and underwater structures. Airmar’s Xducer ID® technology enables automatic transducer recognition by compatible devices.
Robust design and versatile installation
The SS175L (20°) features a stainless-steel housing compatible with all hull types, including fiberglass, wood, steel, and aluminum. Its low-profile through-hull design minimizes drag and maintains display resolution at high speeds. The fixed 20° tilt suits hulls with a deadrise angle of 16° to 24°. Installation requires a 95 mm hole for fiberglass or wooden hulls, and 105 mm for metal hulls. The transducer includes a 10-meter cable and a black 9-pin XSONIC connector, compatible with the Mix & Match™ system for connection to various fishfinder brands via adapter cables.
