Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar SS175M (0°) through-hull transducer is designed for sport and commercial fishing vessels, offering a 1 kW CHIRP solution in stainless steel. This transducer features a fixed 0° tilted element, suitable for hulls with a deadrise angle of 0° to 7°, ensuring optimal beam orientation for maximum echo returns.
CHIRP Medium Performance and Detection Capability
Operating on a CHIRP medium frequency of 85 kHz to 135 kHz, the SS175M balances deep penetration and target resolution. It achieves a maximum depth of 457 meters (1500 feet) with a 16° to 11° beam, providing detailed bottom imaging and clear fish separation in mid-water depths. In addition to its detection capabilities, it includes a fast-response water temperature sensor.
Robust Design and Versatile Installation
Housed in a stainless steel casing, this transducer is compatible with all hull materials, including fiberglass, wood, and metal (with appropriate isolation for metal hulls). Its low-profile design minimizes drag and maintains good display resolution even at high speeds. Installation requires a 95 mm hole for fiberglass or wood hulls, and 105 mm for metal hulls. Recommended for vessels up to 11 meters (36 feet), it weighs 2.7 kg. The SS175M comes with a 10-meter cable featuring a 9-pin black connector, compatible with Navico, Lowrance, and Simrad systems, and integrates Airmar’s patented Xducer ID® technology.
