Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar SS75H (20°) is a 600 W through-hull CHIRP transducer for precise depth and water temperature detection. This model features a fixed 20° tilted element, optimized for hull deadrise angles between 16° and 24°, ensuring a horizontal beam orientation for maximum echo reception.
High-performance CHIRP technology
With its high-frequency CHIRP technology (130–210 kHz), the XSONIC Airmar SS75H (20°) delivers 5 to 10 times the resolution and detail of traditional transducers. This capability clearly distinguishes baitfish, gamefish, and underwater structures. Its variable beam width (15° to 9°) ensures precise targeting, effective for locating fish near wrecks and reefs. Target separation is improved, aiding in fish school identification.
Design and compatibility
The XSONIC Airmar SS75H (20°)’s stainless-steel housing is compatible with all hull types: fiberglass, wood, and metal. Its low profile minimizes drag, protruding only 5 mm below the hull. The transducer is suited for vessels up to 8 m (26 ft) LOA and recommended for vee-bottom, planing, or displacement hulls. It includes a fast-response temperature sensor and features patented Xducer ID® technology.
Installation
Through-hull installation requires a 70 mm (2-13/16") hole for fiberglass or wood hulls, and 79 mm (3-1/8") for metal hulls. A 10 m (33 ft) cable is included, fitted with a 9-pin XSONIC connector. The transducer provides depth readings up to 214 m (700 ft).
