Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar TM260 transducer is designed for deep-sea fishing and deep-water detection applications. This transom-mount model delivers 1 kW RMS power and features dual-frequency capabilities, operating at 50 kHz and 200 kHz.
Detection performance and resolution
At 50 kHz, the TM260 provides a wide 19° beam suitable for deep-water detection with a maximum range of up to 800 meters (2600 feet). For targeted resolution, the 200 kHz frequency uses a narrow 6° beam, enabling precise detection of fish and underwater structures up to 294 meters (1000 feet). It also includes a fast-response water temperature probe.
Design and installation
The TM260 is housed in a seamless SEALCAST™ urethane casing, mounted on a stainless-steel bracket. This bracket is designed for transom installation, compatible with outboard or inboard/outboard-powered boats and supporting a hull deadrise angle up to 28°. Its streamlined shape ensures stable performance at speeds up to 30 knots (35 MPH). The "kick-up" bracket locks in the raised position to prevent damage. The transducer is suitable for vessels with an overall length (LOA) of 10 meters (33 feet) or more, or 25 feet or more. It comes with a 10-meter (33-foot) cable and a 9-pin xSonic/Navico connector. The patented Xducer ID® technology facilitates transducer identification by compatible systems.
