Holdbarheden af et elektronisk system til søs afhænger af den umiddelbare tilgængelighed af strategiske vedligeholdelseskomponenter. Vi har kun udvalgt kritiske dele – NMEA 2000-stik, bus-terminatorer, højeffektive sikringer og backup-sensorer – der kan modstå mekaniske belastninger og langvarig udsættelse for saltfugtighed. Hardware-redundans på vitale elementer (antenner, rorvinkel-feedback, strømkabler) er den eneste effektive sikkerhedsforanstaltning mod totalt tab af instrumenter under en overfart eller offshore-sejlads.

At have en reservedel på lager er nytteløst uden forståelse for dens rolle i den samlede arkitektur ombord: en defekt bus-terminator eller et dårligt afskærmet backbone-kabel kan lamme alle dine dataflows. Vi anbefaler systematisk opbygningen af et personligt nødkit, tilpasset dit energibehov og kompleksiteten af dit computernetværk.
