Detailed description
This RS PRO red adhesive heat-shrink tubing protects and insulates electrical splices. Its initial diameter of 6.4 mm shrinks down to 2 mm, with a 3:1 ratio suitable for irregular shapes.
The supplied length is 1.2 m. Its flexible double-wall polyolefin construction includes an adhesive that melts when heated to form a watertight seal around the cable or connection.
The tubing is flame-retardant, abrasion-resistant, and withstands common fluids and solvents. Its operating range is -55 to +110 °C, and its shrink temperature is 110 °C.
Cut to the required length, slide the tubing on before assembly, then heat it evenly with an appropriate tool. Check the cable and connection diameter before installation.
