H5G3-DITA GPS Sounder Combo

The H5G3-DITA combo is a HELIX CHIRP DI GPS G3 model, featuring Sonar (2D), Down Imaging, and CHIRP capabilities. The CHIRP uses a default frequency range of 150 kHz to 220 kHz. The unit offers features such as Fish ID+, WhiteLine, and sharpness adjustments for clear sonar return interpretation. Its maximum output power is 500 Watts RMS and 4000 Watts peak-to-peak. It is powered by a 10 to 20 VDC input. Its IPX7 rating ensures protection against immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. For navigation, the H5G3-DITA includes a GPS. It also supports AutoChart Live, allowing the creation of custom bathymetric charts.

Detailed Mapping with CoastMaster

The included CoastMaster chart provides detailed mapping with various display options. Users can choose between North-Up, Head-Up, Course-Up, or COG Up orientations. The chart displays water details (wrecks, rocks, obstructions, natural features, fishing objects, seabed nature) and land details (ports, coastal objects, roads, points of interest). Navigation data includes aids to navigation, light sectors, anchoring zones, tide, current, and spot soundings. For safety, the chart integrates Sounding Highlight (displaying shallow soundings in red), Symbol Highlight (highlighting dangerous objects with a red outline), and Always Show Hazards (forcing the display of dangerous objects). It is critical never to format an SD card containing CoastMaster data, as this would permanently erase the chart data.
