Two M200 marine speakers with RGB lighting
The 010-04753-02 reference includes a pair of JL Audio M200 coaxial speakers with nominal size 6.5 inches, featuring Sport white grilles and RGB LED lighting.
Audio and amplification
Each speaker handles 50 W RMS into 4 ohms. Sensitivity is 87 dB at 1 W/1 m and frequency response ranges from 55 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 3 dB). Recommended amplifier range is 30 to 100 W per channel. The cone is injection-molded polypropylene with mica loading; the tweeter is a 25 mm silk dome.
Mounting preparation
Cutout diameter required is 127.5 mm with mounting depth of 72 mm. Outside diameter is 175.7 mm and the grille extends 32.8 mm in front of the mounting surface. Safe compass distance for this LED variant is 175 cm. The IPX6 rating applies to front-facing protection when properly installed. The rear, wires, and connections are not waterproof and must remain protected from moisture. In areas exposed to water or weather, mount on a vertical surface. On the exterior of the boat, select a location well above the waterline.
Connecting the LEDs
Lighting operates on 10 to 14.4 V DC, with a maximum consumption of 140 mA at 14.4 V DC per speaker. Garmin recommends a Spectra controller, sold separately. A static color can also be achieved by a protected connection to a 12 V DC source.
A fast-blow 500 mA fuse is mandatory for each speaker, on the LED positive wire at the power supply end, in a marine fuse holder. This protection remains mandatory with a controller. For direct connection, also use an isolation switch or circuit breaker. Use the provided harnesses and disconnect audio power before making connections.
