The Marinco 50A 125/250V CORDSET, 50' MOLDED, WHITE is a marine shore power cable designed for vessels requiring a robust and secure electrical connection. This 50-foot (approximately 15.24-meter) cordset provides reliable power delivery with a 50-amp capacity and 125/250-volt compatibility. Its construction uses materials resistant to harsh marine environments.
Design and Technical Specifications
This cordset features 6 AWG conductors for efficient power transmission. The molded, waterproof Twist-Lock connectors (NEMA SS2-50R on the boat side and SS2-50P on the shore side) provide enhanced safety and durability. They incorporate EEL™ (Easily Engaged Lock) technology, a patented clamping jaw system enabling a secure, watertight one-handed connection compatible with standard NEMA outlets without traditional threaded locking rings.
Durability and Integrated Features
Constructed with a PVC jacket, nylon plug bodies, and nickel-plated brass contacts, the cable resists corrosion, oil, water, and UV exposure. It is designed to be flexible and rugged, with a temperature rating of 105 °C (221 °F). For ease of use, the cordset includes blue LED indicator lights at both ends to show power presence. A secondary locking feature enhances connection security. The ergonomic "Contour Grip" design with thumb guide simplifies alignment and connection. The Marinco Easy Lock system allows rapid one-eighth-turn locking on compatible Marinco inlets. The product is UL-certified, ABYC-compliant, and CSA-certified, meeting global industry standards.
