Detailed description
Detailed description
The 12V 90Ah service + start battery from Solid State Marine targets installations requiring both a genuine service battery and credible starting capacity in a compact BCI Group 24 format. Its solid electrolyte technology eliminates the flammable liquid electrolyte of classic lithium batteries, improving onboard safety while maintaining a compact footprint and a low weight of 6.35 kg.
Power, starting, and daily use
This model delivers 650 CCA for starting and accepts a continuous discharge current of 150 A, allowing it to power electronics, auxiliary systems, and occasional high-current draws while remaining relevant for starting duties. It is designed for boats seeking to simplify electrical architecture without switching to a purely engine-start battery.
BMS, cold weather, and network integration
The integrated BMS manages essential protections against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and extreme temperatures. The battery remains usable down to -20 °C without an internal heating system and includes standard Bluetooth connectivity for mobile monitoring. Depending on the version selected, it can also integrate into NMEA, CAN, RS-485, or Victron environments. The compact format, IP67 housing, and M8 terminals facilitate integration into modern boats.
