The A35 "5 You" upgraded from H3000 to H5000

Alexis Albin races in IRC on 5 You, an Archambault A35. The boat’s electronics were overhauled by Skysat, switching from a B&G H3000 system to an H5000 central processor.

The boat

The Archambault A35 is a 10.60 m IRC one-design by Joubert-Nivelt, launched in 2008. Modern hull, deep keel, carbon rigging: a demanding boat where performance gaps come down to the quality of embedded data and crew consistency.

Electronics upgrade: H3000 → H5000

The H3000 was long the benchmark on A35s. Switching to the H5000 changes the game: faster central processor, native real-time true wind algorithm, finer sensor integration (compass, GPS, anemometer, speed log) and direct display via Triton2 units or networked tablets. For crews aiming to refine polars and targets, this is a step toward the tools used on Grand Prix boats.
