Detailed description
Detailed description
The BEP 716-H-140A-DVSR horizontal battery distribution cluster is an integrated solution for managing two battery banks (starting and house) on a single-engine system operating at 48 Volts DC. Designed for versatile installation, it supports flush or surface mounting, adapting to various electrical panel configurations. This system features an integrated 125A digital voltage-sensitive relay (DVSR) that optimizes charging of the house batteries once the starting battery is fully charged, with a maximum alternator current of 100A.
Technical Performance and Marine Reliability
With a continuous DC current capacity of 275 Amps DC, an intermittent current of 455 Amps DC, and an impressive starting current of 1250 Amps DC, the BEP 716-H-140A-DVSR ensures stable and reliable power for demanding marine applications. Its robust 2 x 3/8" (10mm) connection terminals provide optimal conductivity and secure installation. This cluster is UL 1107 and ABYC certified, confirming compliance with the strictest maritime industry safety and performance standards. Its hermetically sealed and water-resistant (non-submersible) design ensures enhanced durability in marine environments.
Integration and Positioning in the BEP Range
This model serves as a turnkey solution for single-engine configurations requiring intelligent management of two batteries, particularly in 48V systems. Unlike basic battery switches or systems requiring an external DVSR, the BEP 716-H-140A-DVSR offers compact and simplified integration. While other products in the BEP range, such as clusters 80-716-0014-00 (single engine), 80-716-0015-00 (twin engine), and 80-716-0016-00 (triple engine), provide options for different engine configurations, this model stands out with its automatic charge management via the DVSR and its 48V nominal voltage, making it ideal for modern high-voltage installations. The terminals are clearly labeled for connection to the starting battery (stud A), the main outboard motor power supply (stud B), the house battery via a fuse (stud C), and the house loads via a fuse (stud D), facilitating integration into the vessel's electrical system.
