Detailed description
Detailed description
The BEP FH ANL THROUGH PANEL 500A fuse holder (reference 778-ANLTP) is an electrical protection solution designed for marine installations requiring careful and compact integration. Suitable for voltages up to 50 VDC, this fuse holder supports an amperage range of 35 to 500 A, making it an essential component for protecting high-consumption circuits such as inverters, bow thrusters, or main battery banks. Its compact dimensions of 98 x 49 x 36 mm and weight of 298 g facilitate installation in confined spaces.
Through-panel design and optimized connectivity
The distinctive feature of the FH ANL THROUGH PANEL 500A is its through-panel design, allowing a maximum panel penetration of 19 mm (3/4 inch). This design ensures clean and secure mounting through a bulkhead or panel, minimizing cable clutter and providing an aesthetic finish. The connection studs for 10 mm (3/8 inch) cables guarantee optimal conductivity and compatibility with high-cross-section cables, while the fuse mounting studs of 8 mm (5/16 inch) are also compatible with 10 mm (3/8 inch) fuses, offering flexibility in use with ANL or ANN (very fast) fuses.
Positioning in the BEP range and technical comparison
Unlike standard BEP ANL fuse holders, such as the 35-300A model (778-ANL), which is a surface-mount unit with 8 mm studs and a total depth of 54 mm, the FH ANL THROUGH PANEL 500A offers a higher amperage capacity and more discreet integration thanks to its through-panel mounting. Compared to the 35-750A two-stud ANL fuse holder (778-ANL2S), which handles higher currents but has larger dimensions (147 x 49 x 61 mm) and is not designed for through-panel mounting, the 778-ANLTP is the ideal solution for applications requiring both high protection and wall integration. It also differs from class T fuse holders (such as the 225-400A or 450-600A models), which are designed for much higher current interruption capacities (20,000 to 50,000 A) and different applications, highlighting the specific positioning of the 778-ANLTP for medium to high-power DC systems in marine environments.
