Detailed description
Detailed description
The BLUE SEA AMG® 200 A fuse is an essential protection component for high-current marine electrical systems. Designed to secure critical circuits, it provides fast and reliable interruption in case of overload or short circuit, protecting expensive equipment and preventing onboard fire hazards.
Functionality and Applications
With a 200-amp rating, this AMG® fuse is suited for applications requiring protection for high currents, such as power lines for large inverters, bow thrusters, windlasses, or complex charging systems. It fits into specific AMG® fuse holders, ensuring stable electrical contact and adequate thermal dissipation to maintain system integrity even under heavy loads. Its design is optimized for the marine environment, where component reliability is paramount.
Positioning within the BLUE SEA Range
The AMG® fuse fits between MIDI or MEGA-type fuses, also offered by BLUE SEA, which cover similar current ranges but with different formats and mounting characteristics. While ANL or MEGA fuses may be preferred for very high currents or specific configurations, the AMG® format provides a compact and efficient solution for a wide range of high-current applications, complementing lighter circuit protections such as ATC/ATO fuses used for navigation electronics or lighting. It is a standard spare part for installations equipped with AMG®-compatible fuse holders.
