This digital chart provides extensive coverage, clarity, and precise detail level, suitable for cruising, fishing, and maritime exploration.
Detailed geographical coverage
The BlueChart® g3 HXEU012R covers an extensive coastal area, stretching from Llafranc, Spain, to Crotone, Italy. This zone includes the coastlines of France, Monaco, and the western coast of Italy. The chart also provides detailed coverage of lakes in northern Italy such as Lake Geneva, Lake Maggiore, Lake Lugano, Lake Iseo, Lake Como, and Lake Garda. The islands of Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, and Malta are also represented in detail.
Advanced navigation features
This product includes technical features to enhance navigation. The Auto Guidance technology quickly calculates a suggested route based on desired depth and air clearance. The Depth Range Shading allows visualization of up to 10 distinct depth ranges for quick identification of areas. The 30 cm (1 ft) Detailed Contours provide an accurate representation of the seabed structure, which is relevant for fishing and navigation in complex areas such as marshes, channels, and marinas. The Shallow Water Shading highlights low-draft areas, defined by the user, to avoid them.
Graphical representation and additional information
The BlueChart® g3 HXEU012R chartplotter features high-resolution Relief Shading (available for download via the ActiveCaptain® app for g3 Vision versions, and mentioned for g3 in some sources), which combines colors and shadows for intuitive visualization of the seabed profile, highlighting artificial reefs and underwater plateaus. High-resolution satellite imagery contributes to a better understanding of the navigation environment. Classic data such as buoys, light sectors, regulated zones, soundings, wrecks, tide stations, and current information are also included. The NOAA raster chart, offering a view similar to paper charts of NOAA-studied areas, is available for free download via the ActiveCaptain® app.
