Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for accent and ambient marine lighting, the 1-meter Garmin ECLIPSE SL100 LED strip combines blue and white LEDs for versatile aesthetic and functional use. Part of the Lumishore ECLIPSE collection, this LED strip is a flexible lighting solution ideal for discreet integration under coamings, behind ceiling panels, or beneath furniture on 12V vessels.
Technical Specifications and Integration
The Garmin ECLIPSE SL100 operates on a 10 to 15V DC voltage range, with a typical power consumption of approximately 5 watts per meter (0.41A @ 12V per channel). Each meter integrates 60 blue LEDs and 60 white LEDs (5000K), providing dual-channel lighting. The strip is fully encapsulated and rated IP68, ensuring protection against dust and temporary immersion, though it is not designed for permanent submersion. Made from UV-resistant materials, it is suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, except in areas of intense direct sunlight. The design allows bending on a minimum radius of 50mm on the vertical axis only; horizontal twisting or bending is prohibited.
Installation and Control of the Garmin ECLIPSE SL100
The ECLIPSE SL100 LED strip can be cut to the desired length at marked cut points, with the requirement to seal the cut end using the provided silicone kit to maintain waterproofing. Installation is done using a pre-applied 3M adhesive strip, supplemented by provided screw-down clips for outdoor installations, wet areas, or tight radii, spaced every 250-300mm. Lighting control can be via a simple on/off/on switch for both colors, or more advanced control via an ECLIPSE Command Center, a compatible multifunction display (MFD), or a smart device, enabling sophisticated ambiance management. It is critical not to wire the blue and white channels to illuminate simultaneously with a single switch. This product is backed by a 3-year warranty.
