Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed as an essential accessory for the Garmin Panoptix™ PS51-TH through-hull transducer, this fairing is a critical spare part. It is specifically engineered to optimize the installation of the transducer, ensuring precise alignment and hydrodynamic performance for the FrontVü and LiveVü Forward sonar features.
Optimizing through-hull installation
The Panoptix™ PS51-TH fairing facilitates the mounting of the through-hull transducer on hulls with deadrise angles up to 20 degrees (for hulls up to 19 mm thick) or 12 degrees (for thinner hulls up to 29 mm thick). This adaptation is crucial to maintain sonar performance, including its ability to display the seabed up to 90 meters ahead of the boat and detect structures or fish up to 30 meters away. Without an adapted fairing, the transducer cannot operate optimally, affecting the clarity and range of real-time underwater imagery. Its design minimizes drag and ensures laminar water flow around the transducer, even at speeds up to 45 knots, while remaining effective for grounding avoidance up to 8 knots.
Integration and durability
This fairing is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Panoptix™ PS51-TH transducer, whose stainless steel construction is known for its robustness. As a mounting component, it contributes to the durability of the entire sonar system in the marine environment. It ensures a stable and secure attachment, essential for the reliability of depth and temperature data, as well as the stability of sonar images, even in rough waters thanks to the AHRS stabilization integrated into the transducer.
