Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for Garmin multifunction chartplotters in the GPSMAP 8400 and 8600 series, the Garmin HDMI cable (part number 010-12390-20) provides essential high-definition video connectivity onboard. This 4.5-metre (15-foot) cable enables integration of external video sources and playback on additional displays, optimizing navigation and entertainment experience.
High-Definition Video Connectivity
The Garmin HDMI cable 010-12390-20 is specifically engineered for GPSMAP 8400 and 8600 displays, supporting video resolution up to 1080p. It features an HDMI input port with HDCP compliance, ensuring secure connection and water resistance critical in marine environments. Unlike generic HDMI cables, this Garmin version is designed for system integrity and compatibility.
Features and Integration
This cable allows connection of the GPSMAP chartplotter to external high-definition video sources for full-screen or split-screen video playback. It also supports duplication or streaming of audio and video from HDMI-compatible mobile devices (via external adapters, not included). Additionally, it supports Full HD video output and associated audio from the chartplotter display to an external monitor or television. It is compatible with DVI-D devices using standard DVI-to-HDMI adapters (sold separately). For installations requiring lengths over 4.5 metres, use of an active HDMI cable and HDMI coupler is recommended. Note that using non-Garmin accessory cables or directly connecting a media player to the rear of the chartplotter may void the product warranty. HDCP-protected content will not display when output to a remote screen.
