Designed for inland waterway navigation, Garmin’s inland waterway charts for France, lakes and rivers provide detailed cartography and advanced features for French waterways. They combine Garmin and Navionics content for comprehensive coverage, clarity, and detail on lakes and rivers.
Advanced navigation and chart details
These charts feature Auto Guidance+ technology, combining Garmin and Navionics automatic routing. This function suggests a quay-to-quay path, accounting for desired depth and vertical clearance while flagging obstacles. Detailed contours down to 0.3 meters (1 foot) accurately represent the seabed structure, useful for fishing and navigating complex areas.
The depth gradient feature displays up to 10 depth ranges in high resolution for quick visualization. Customizable shallow-water shading helps identify areas to avoid.
Vision+ features for enhanced perception
Garmin Navionics Vision+ options enhance the experience with additional features. High-resolution relief shading combines colors and shadows for clear interpretation of the seabed profile, making it easier to identify underwater structures. This feature is available as a free download via the ActiveCaptain® app.
Vision+ also includes high-resolution satellite imagery overlaid on charts, providing a realistic view of surroundings—particularly useful when entering unfamiliar harbors. Clear aerial photographs of ports, marinas, bridges, docks, boat ramps, dams, and nautical landmarks improve situational awareness above the waterline.
3D views, such as FishEye View (underwater perspective with contours, interfaced with fishfinder data) and MarinerEye View (3D representation of the area above and below the waterline), are also available with Vision+. The Dynamic Lake Level feature adjusts charts to current water levels to assess accessibility or shallow areas.

They also include key canals such as the Canal du Midi, Canal du Centre, and Canal du Rhône au Rhin, as well as lakes like Lake Geneva.
A one-year subscription is included, providing access to daily chart updates via the ActiveCaptain® app, ensuring up-to-date navigation data. Compatibility is ensured with Garmin chartplotters. Download size can reach approximately 4.12 GB.
