Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin LUX SL180 CRGBW 1700 mm marine strip light provides versatile and customizable lighting. Featuring CRGBW LEDs, it delivers full color spectrum coverage, including cold white and warm white (2700 K to 6500 K). With 60 LEDs per meter, this light strip ensures uniform illumination and extensive customization options for interior and exterior spaces above the waterline.
Design and Technical Specifications
The LUX SL180 features a flexible and discreet design, ideal for integration into coamings, under furniture, or behind ceiling panels. Its fully encapsulated and potted construction provides marine-grade water and dust resistance, validated by IP68 certification. UV-resistant materials and salt-mist tested design ensure durability in demanding marine environments. Each meter of strip has a depth of 5 mm and a height of 14.5 mm. The 1700 mm strip supports an average power consumption of 8.7 W/m and operates on a voltage range of 10.5 to 31 VDC via a dedicated Lumishore LUX driver module. Note that the strip must not be bent along the horizontal axis or twisted; its minimum bending radius is 50 mm on the vertical axis.
Installation and Control
The LUX SL180 is designed for plug-and-play installation. The strip can be secured using its integrated 3M adhesive backing or supplied screw clips, or optional stainless steel clips for specific mounting configurations. For outdoor installations, in wet areas, or with tight curves, mechanical fasteners should be used every 25 to 30 cm. While the strip is supplied in pre-cut lengths to maintain IP68 integrity, it can be cut every 100 mm and resealed using a provided kit for precise adjustments while maintaining IP68 standards. Lighting control is possible via a momentary switch (driver required), compatible multifunction displays (MFD), Lumishore displays, or smart devices (via the EOS-LUX control center). Dimming functionality is standard, allowing precise adjustment of light intensity.
