Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin LUX SL180 LED strip, 900 mm long, provides full-spectrum CRGBW lighting for marine applications. Designed for flexible integration, it enables custom lighting ambiances aboard. This model is positioned as a highly adaptable lighting solution within Garmin’s marine lighting range, compatible with the Lumishore LUX ecosystem, offering superior design flexibility compared to traditional fixed lighting.
Full-spectrum lighting and customization
Featuring 60 CRGBW LEDs per meter, the LUX SL180 strip delivers a complete color output including red, green, blue, as well as adjustable cool white (2700 K to 6500 K). This flexibility allows adjustment of lighting intensity and tone based on preferences or conditions. The product is supplied in predefined 900 mm lengths but can be cut every 100 mm to fit spaces precisely, thanks to the included sealing kit. For the LUX range, the ability to cut distinguishes this strip from monolithic lighting solutions, enabling adaptation to the vessel’s spatial constraints.
System integration and marine robustness
The LUX SL180 requires connection to the Lumishore LUX Strip Light Driver control module for seamless integration into a controlled lighting system. Power is supplied via a 10.5–31 VDC range through the LUX control module, with a maximum current draw of 0.6 A/m at 12 V and 0.36 A/m at 24 V, averaging 8.7 W/m. Its robust design includes IP68 certification, fully encapsulated construction, and UV-resistant material, allowing installation in damp areas though not intended for permanent submersion. With a depth of 5 mm and height of 14.5 mm, it offers a discreet profile for installation under coamings or behind panels. The minimum bending radius is 50 mm on the vertical axis. Control is possible via a compatible multifunction display (MFD), Lumishore display, smart device (with the EOS-LUX control center), or momentary switch (with the Strip Driver).
