This comprehensive charting solution combines Garmin and Navionics® content for extended coverage of the British coasts, from the Thames Estuary to the Isle of Lewis, including the Orkneys, Shetland, and offshore charts of the North Sea. Specific areas such as the Caledonian Canal, Loch Linnhe, Loch Ness, Edinburgh, and London are also covered with precision.
Advanced navigation features
These charts include a one-year subscription to daily updates, providing access to approximately 5,000 improvements per day via the ActiveCaptain® app. The Auto Guidance+™ technology offers automatic route calculation from dock to dock, taking into account desired depth and air draft. The high-resolution depth shading feature allows selecting up to 10 color options to visualize specific target depths, making it easier to identify fishing zones. Detailed contours down to 0.5 meters (1 foot) accurately represent the seafloor structure, which is useful for fishing and navigating in shallow waters, canals, ports, and marinas.
Interface and customization
Shallow water shading provides a clear visualization of areas to avoid, with user-defined depths. The ActiveCaptain® community enhances the experience with shared points of interest (POI), such as marinas, anchorages, and hazards. The chart interface uses bright colors and a Navionics®-style color palette for easy reading. Users can customize their display with various chart layers, overlay combinations, and up to 10 shaded target depth ranges. These charts are compatible with Garmin chartplotters, including the GPSMAP® and ECHOMAP™ series.
