Advanced navigation and updates
The Garmin marine chart includes a one-year subscription granting access to up to 5,000 daily chart improvements and new content via the ActiveCaptain® app. The Auto Guidance+™ technology combines Garmin and Navionics automatic routing functions to suggest a dock-to-dock route, taking into account desired depth and air draft while flagging obstructions. Visualization features include depth shading (up to 10 color bands), detailed contours down to 1 foot (or 0.5 meters) for precise seabed representation, and shallow-water shading at a user-defined depth. The ActiveCaptain® community also provides collaborative content, including useful points of interest (POIs) such as marinas, anchorages, and hazards. The view is customizable with various layers and map overlay combinations.
