This product integrates detailed cartographic data from Garmin and Navionics for coastal and inland waters, compatible with Garmin chartplotters.
Extended coverage and precise details
These charts cover the coasts of the UK and Ireland, as well as adjacent areas of the North Sea and the English Channel. They include major waterways such as the River Thames, IJsselmeer, Waddenzee and the Kiel Canal. Major ports like London, Liverpool, Southampton, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Amsterdam and Rotterdam are represented with detailed information. Users benefit from bathymetric contours down to 0.5 metres or 1 foot in many areas, providing a clear representation of the seabed structure.
Advanced navigation features
The charts integrate Auto Guidance+ technology, which generates dock-to-dock route suggestions, simplifying planning through channels, straits and marina entrances by calculating a path based on desired depth and clearance. The depth gradient function allows selecting up to 10 colour ranges to highlight target depths. Shallow-water shading is customizable to clearly indicate areas to avoid.
Updates and community information
A one-year subscription is included, providing access to daily chart updates (up to 5,000 per day) via the ActiveCaptain app. ActiveCaptain community content provides information on marinas, anchorages, local points of interest and hazards reported by users. Views are customizable with different map layers and overlay combinations.
Premium features (available with Garmin Navionics Vision+)
For improved situational awareness, premium versions such as Garmin Navionics Vision+ add advanced map views. These include high-resolution seabed relief shading for a detailed view of the seabed structure, high-resolution satellite imagery for a realistic perspective of surroundings, and aerial photographs of ports and marinas. MarinerEye and FishEye 3D views are also available for perspectives above and below the waterline.
