Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for flexible marine installations, the Garmin NMEA 2000 backbone/tap cable (4 m, part number 010-11076-04) is an essential component for extending and structuring NMEA 2000 networks aboard. It allows you to extend the network’s main backbone or connect compatible devices.
NMEA 2000 integration and standardization
This cable fully complies with the NMEA 2000 plug-and-play communication standard, successor to the NMEA 0183 serial data bus. It ensures broad compatibility with a range of Garmin NMEA 2000 certified devices, including AIS™ 300/600 Blackbox transceivers, GHP™ 12 and GHP™ 20 autopilot systems, GMI™ 10/20 marine instruments, GPS 19x NMEA 2000 GPSMAP® units, and VHF 200/300 marine radios. The micro NMEA 2000 connectors provide standardized and reliable interconnection.
Flexible use and technical specifications
With a length of 4 meters (13 feet), this cable is versatile and can be used either as a backbone cable or as a tap cable. NMEA 2000 cables up to 6 meters are suitable for both functions, offering great freedom in network design. It contributes to stable data communication and orderly installation of marine electronic systems.
