Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin OnDeck shore power sensor monitors the presence and status of your vessel's shore power supply. It integrates with the Garmin OnDeck system, transmitting digital data to the central unit for remote monitoring via the ActiveCaptain® app. This sensor detects fluctuations or interruptions in shore power, helping to prevent damage to sensitive onboard equipment and identify potentially hazardous poor connections.
Technical specifications and integration
The sensor can be installed in a hardwired configuration, accepting an input voltage of 90 to 264 V AC, or in a plug-in configuration compatible with standard 100 to 240 V AC outlets (North America, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia). It provides a 5 V DC output voltage. Weighing approximately 90 grams (0.2 lb), it is suitable for the marine environment.
Integration with the OnDeck system and the ActiveCaptain® app ensures fast data transmission and allows tracking of charge cycle history. Installation is flexible, though the sensor must be mounted in a dry location to avoid damage.
