Designed for seamless integration, the Yamaha engine bus with Garmin J1939 adapter cable (reference 010-12770-00) enables the connection of Yamaha engine data and control functions to compatible Garmin GPSMAP chartplotters. This cable is specifically engineered for the J1939 protocol and must not be connected directly to an NMEA 2000 network.
Unified engine monitoring and control
This adapter cable turns your Garmin GPSMAP display into a unified command center for navigation and engine management. It provides real-time display of Yamaha engine vital statistics, including RPM, fuel levels, trim position, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage. Beyond monitoring, it enables access to advanced Yamaha control functions such as throttle control, helm transfer, engine diagnostics, joystick control, Skyhook anchoring, and autopilot synchronization via the Garmin chartplotter’s touch interface, integrating Yamaha’s helm command system and custom touch user interface into your Garmin installation.
Compatibility and installation
The 010-12770-00 adapter cable is compatible with Garmin GPSMAP chartplotters in the 7400, 7600, 8400, and 8600 series. At approximately 0.91 meters (3 feet) long, it is designed for plug-and-play installation without soldering. A complete installation requires additional Yamaha components, such as a starter cable, inline splitters, and a Command Link main harness with power wires, available separately from Yamaha dealers.
