Detailed description
Detailed description
The JL Audio MMA-1-HTML marine audio interface is an NMEA 2000®-certified solution designed to integrate JL Audio’s MediaMaster® marine source units with compatible multifunction displays (MFD) aboard. It enables seamless control of the audio system directly from the MFD, displaying a MediaMaster-inspired user interface.
Integration and Compatibility
This NMEA 2000 signal processor is exclusively designed for JL Audio MediaMaster® marine source units: MM55, MM55-HR, MM105, and MM105-HR. It ensures NMEA 2000® compatibility with multifunction displays from brands such as Simrad, B&G, Lowrance, and Garmin. The interface automatically detects the connected MediaMaster source unit and projects its screen information and navigation controls directly onto the MFD.
Features and Connectivity
Users can control various audio functions, including power on/off, source selection, playback functions, master and zone volume adjustment, menu options, system settings, audio adjustments, and favorites. Connection to the vessel’s network is via an NMEA 2000 Micro-C connector (LEN 1) and requires an existing NMEA 2000 network or the use of a powered MMC-PN2K network cable (sold separately).
Technical Specifications and Installation
The MMA-1-HTML interface operates on 14.4 V DC (range 10 V to 15.9 V) with a maximum current draw of 150 mA and includes a 1 A fuse on the +12 V DC wire. Its dimensions are 172 mm (W) x 101 mm (D) x 44 mm (H) and it supports an operating temperature range from -20 °C to +65 °C. Designed for the marine environment, the unit must be mounted in a concealed location, not directly exposed to water spray. Software updates can be performed via USB. The interface supports multiple languages, including English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
