Detailed description
Detailed description
The LOWRANCE Eagle 7 fishfinder is a fish detection solution designed to provide reliable performance and ease of use. Featuring a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, it ensures excellent readability thanks to its wide 85° viewing angles in all directions. This model is specifically supplied with an HDI (Hybrid Dual Imaging) 83/200 transducer, which combines two sonar technologies into a single unit: traditional CHIRP sonar for superior target separation and DownScan Imaging technology for detailed, near-photographic views of structures and seabeds beneath the boat.
Performance and technical specifications
The Eagle 7 operates on 12 V DC power (range 10.8 to 18 V) with a very controlled maximum consumption of 6.6 W (550 mA). Robust, it is designed for the marine environment with an IPX7 waterproof rating and an operating temperature range from -15°C to 55°C. It features a single transducer port compatible with SplitShot™ and TripleShot models, offering upgrade options. For mapping and data backup, a microSD card reader is integrated, supporting cards up to 32 GB.
Positioning in the LOWRANCE range
Within the LOWRANCE range, the Eagle series is positioned as a modern, accessible entry-level offering, ideal for anglers on small boats who do not require the advanced networking features of higher-end series like Elite FS or HDS. Compared to its big brother, the Eagle 9, this 7-inch model is more compact while offering the same core sonar technologies. It represents an excellent performance-to-price ratio compared to competitors such as Garmin’s Striker series, focusing on the essentials: effective fish detection and clear seabed imaging.
