Detailed description
Detailed description
The MASTERVOLT AGM Battery 12/160Ah (reference 62001600) is a robust and versatile energy storage solution designed to meet the demands of marine and mobile applications. With a nominal voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 160 Ah (C20), this type 4D battery uses AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) technology for enhanced performance and reliability.
Advanced AGM Technology for Maximum Reliability
MASTERVOLT’s AGM technology features an electrolyte fully absorbed in glass fibers, making the battery maintenance-free and non-gassing under normal operating conditions. This allows flexible installation in various environments, including confined spaces, without requiring specific ventilation. The thicker plate design ensures excellent resistance to deep discharges, significantly extending battery lifespan even under moderate cycling.
Performance and Versatility for Your Power Needs
The AGM Battery 12/160Ah excels at delivering high currents quickly, making it ideal for engine starting, thrusters, windlasses, and powering onboard electronic equipment. It provides cold-starting performance (CCA) of 870 A per SAE standards and 550 A per DIN standards. Its reserve capacity of 351 minutes ensures reliable autonomy for service systems. Thanks to its low internal resistance, optimized by fiberglass technology, it offers superior charge and discharge efficiency. The removable M8 type A terminals ensure compatibility with all standard battery terminals for easy installation. Compared to traditional flooded lead-acid batteries, this AGM battery delivers starting power comparable to, or even greater than, a flooded lead-acid battery with a much higher nominal capacity—such as the equivalence between an AGM 12/90 Ah and a flooded lead-acid battery of 180 Ah.
Technical Specifications and Usage Recommendations
With dimensions of 485 x 170 x 242 mm (LxWxH) and a weight of 42.3 kg, the MASTERVOLT AGM Battery 12/160Ah is built for durability. For optimal performance, it must be charged with an IUoUo charger, with a floating voltage of 13.80 V at 25°C and an absorption voltage of 14.25 V at 25°C (max. 5 hours), with a recommended temperature compensation of -30mV/°C. The maximum charging current is 45 A (approximately 30% of the C10 capacity). It operates within an acceptable temperature range of -20 to 55°C, with a recommended nominal temperature of 25°C. A two-year warranty accompanies this product, underscoring its commitment to quality and durability.
