Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for coastal navigation and fishing, the Raymarine Element 7 HV (E70644-05-MED) chartplotter integrates a 7-inch GPS display with advanced fishfinder features. This unit combines traditional CHIRP technology with Raymarine’s HyperVision fishfinder, delivering detailed visualization of underwater structures and fish. It includes the HV-100+ transom-mounted transducer and Lighthouse Mediterranean chartplotter.
HyperVision Sonar Technology
The HyperVision system uses 1.2 MHz frequencies, providing superior seafloor and underwater target imaging resolution compared to traditional CHIRP fishfinders. This technology is complemented by DownVision and SideVision modes, offering a scanning coverage of up to 60 meters (200 feet) on both sides and in depth. The Raymarine Element 7 HV positions itself as an intermediate solution, offering fishfinder capabilities comparable to the more expensive Axiom series, but in a dedicated, user-friendly format. Unlike the Element S models, which focus on pure navigation, the Element HV emphasizes underwater detection performance.
Navigation and Connectivity
The 7-inch display provides a clear interface for navigation, supporting the included Lighthouse Mediterranean chartplotter, tailored for this region. The integrated GPS module ensures precise positioning. For connectivity, the Raymarine Element 7 HV features Wi-Fi, enabling software updates and integration with compatible mobile apps. The HV-100+ transom-mounted transducer simplifies installation across a wide range of hulls, offering a quicker and easier alternative to through-hull transducers like the HV-300, without requiring complex hull drilling.
