Detailed description
Detailed description
The 20-meter RayNet to RayNet cable, part number A80006, is designed for interconnecting Raymarine navigation equipment compatible with the RayNet Ethernet network. This cable length is suitable for installations requiring significant routing between peripherals, such as multifunction displays, radars, CHIRP sonars, thermal cameras, or processing modules.
RayNet network integration
This cable provides a reliable, high-speed Ethernet connection within Raymarine’s RayNet network architecture. It enables data transmission for charts, radar, depth sounder, and video between compatible devices. Unlike shorter RayNet cables (e.g., 2 meters or 5 meters) used for close-range connections, the 20-meter version offers the flexibility needed to link distant equipment, such as a flybridge display to a sonar module in the bilge. It is part of Raymarine’s network cable range, alongside RayNet to RJ45 cables for PC integration.
Technical specifications
The A80006 cable is a standard component of the RayNet system. It uses waterproof connectors specifically developed by Raymarine to maintain signal integrity in a marine environment. Its design ensures stable data transfer performance over a 20-meter distance, critical for complex marine networks where latency and signal loss must be minimized. It is compatible with all Axiom and Element multifunction displays, as well as older series like eS or gS, and all Raymarine sensors and modules equipped with a RayNet interface.
