The Scanstrut Ultra 15W waterproof magnetic wireless charger (reference SC-CW-14G) is designed to provide a reliable and high-performance charging solution in marine environments. Part of Scanstrut’s Power / Wireless_Charging family, this device delivers a maximum output power of 15W, ensuring fast charging for Qi2-compatible devices. It is powered by a 12/24V DC system, accepting an input voltage range of 10 to 30V DC and a maximum input current of 2A, with standby power consumption below 0.5W.
Robust Design and Marine Waterproofing
With an IPX6 waterproof rating, the Ultra charger provides full protection against intense water spray, both on its front and rear faces, making it ideal for installation on deck or in exposed areas. This robustness is complemented by a design optimized for marine conditions, resisting the harsh environments encountered onboard. Unlike less specialized chargers or older Qi models, the Qi2 certification ensures improved compatibility and optimized charging efficiency, positioning this product at the forefront of marine wireless charging technology.
Installation and Technical Specifications
Installation of the Scanstrut Ultra is designed for flush mounting. It requires a 51mm (2-inch) cutout and a minimum cavity depth of 43mm (1.7 inches). The mounting material thickness must be between 6mm (0.23 inches) and 20mm (0.79 inches). The SC-CW-14G model is equipped with a 280mm (11-inch) flying lead for easy connection to the vessel’s electrical system. The device also features an LED indicator system for quick diagnostics of charging status (solid white), standby (solid red), undervoltage issues (flashing red), foreign object detection (flashing white), or internal overheating (flashing white and red).
